For Jimmy charity – Events and promotion
Brief – I work at For Jimmy part-time as the events and promotion coordinator. The charity’s values are Peace and safety: building communities we all want to live in. These are values I support and believe in myself. My role is to engage with the local community by creating events that echo these values and to help support local residents in holding theirs. I also run the day to day ads and promotions for their Cafe; Good Hope Cafe, that adheres to the for Jimmy and Good Hope branding code.
Solution – Good Hope Festival: a small scale community festival held in Ladywell Fields, near Lewisham. I was given sole responsibility to organise and run the event, including the promotion, sources of acts, stalls and volunteers, applications and licensing, and on the day management of the festival. The day was a success and people enjoyed the Rubber Duck Race I created, which raised several hundred pounds for the charity.
